SISTER ANGELA SHARES THE MESSAGE OF FATIMA WITH AQUINAS STUDENTS

Sister Angela de Fatima, Alianca de Santa Maria Order in Portugal, with Sister Maria Christi, O. P., principal of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School, and Father Paul Eversole, Administrator of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, meet before Sister Angela addresses the students and parishioners about the Message of Fatima.

Sister Angela de Fatima talks to the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School students and Our Lady of Angels parishioners about the Message of Fatima and the importance of praying the Rosary daily.

The Message of Fatima came to life when Sister Angela de Fatima spoke to the 4th through 8th grade students of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School and the Our Lady of Angels parishioners on November 10, 2005. Sister Angela, of the Aliança de Santa Maria Order in Portugal, travels around the world to deliver the Message of Fatima to schools and parishes. Sharing the apparitions of the three shepherd children, Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco, Sister Angela relays the importance of praying the Rosary daily. Sister Angela said, “Don’t be afraid of loving Our Lady. Jesus is the center of our lives. Our Lady is the way to take us to Him.”

She vividly describes and explains what the shepherd children witnessed during the apparitions in 1917. She noted that the apparitions always occurred on the 13th of the month except when Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco were in jail for not revealing information on the Apparition of the Secrets. Sister Angela told the children that, “The Message of Fatima encourages us to be saints.”

Sister Angela explained the third part of the secret, which she said Pope John Paul II was interested in learning more about following the assassination attempt on his life. She relayed that the Pope attributed his recovery from the bullet wound to Our Lady, saying that her hand guided the bullet. The bullet was placed in the crown of Our Lady of Fatima.

Her engaging presentation encouraged the audience to want to learn more. Fifth grade student Tesia McNulty asked, “Do you think Lucia will become a saint?” Sr. Angela responded, “Yes, she is already a saint. We are all called to holiness. We are all called to be saints.”

Following the talk to the students and parishioners, Sister Angela was the guest of honor at a luncheon held in the school hall and sponsored by Our Lady of Angels Church
